Accessibility Statement
We want any adult to be able to use LEVIATHAN, including people with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive disabilities. This statement explains the standard we follow, what we already do and how to ask for help when something does not work for you.
The standard we follow
Our goal is for the app and the website to meet level AA of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. We have not yet had an external audit certify that level; in the meantime, we review every change against those guidelines and fix what we find.
What we already do
- Website: pages in semantic HTML with ordered headings, a skip-to-content link, a table of contents on each page, full keyboard navigation, text that can be enlarged without losing content, light and dark mode based on your device, and four languages (Spanish, English, Portuguese and French).
- App: it is compatible with the system screen readers (TalkBack on Android and VoiceOver on iOS), although we are still adapting several screens; it respects the font size you choose on your phone and is available in the same four languages.
- Sensitive content: before you open a sensitive photo or video in the chat, the app shows a text notice that explains what it contains. Some blurred images, such as those in the likes inbox, only show an icon; we are adding their description.
- Support: every request can be made in writing, with the contact form or by email, without needing to speak on the phone.
Known limitations
- Photos and videos uploaded by users do not always have a text description, because that depends on who posts them.
- Voice and video calls do not have automatic captions.
- Some app screens may not be announced correctly by screen readers while we review them.
How to ask for help or an alternative
If you find a barrier, write to us using the contact form (subject “Accesibilidad”). Tell us which screen or page you were using, what you were trying to do and what assistive technology you use. We will reply within 10 business days at most and, while we fix the problem, we will offer you another way to complete what you need, for example handling an account, privacy or payment request in writing.
Conecta al Campo operates LEVIATHAN. We review this statement at least once a year.
This page is also available in other languages, with the same content. If the versions differ, the version in the language required by the law of your place of residence prevails: in Quebec and Haiti, the French version (in Quebec, under the Charter of the French Language); in Brazil, the Portuguese version (Consumer Protection Code, Law No. 8,078/1990); in Mexico, the other Spanish-speaking countries and Puerto Rico, the Spanish version; everywhere else, this English version.
